There is no city in the world quite like 'La Serenissima'! This photographic tour will get the best from this unique & incomparable city. We will start early in the morning, avoiding the crowds, to capture the city's side streets, little canals, quaint bridges, gondolas & hidden piazzas. Lunch will be at a typical Venetian cafe, & this will be followed by more photography at some of the better known locations such as St Mark's Square & the church of San Giorgio. In the evenings we will capture the Grand Canal from some of the famous bridges such as the Rialto & the Academia - a great opportunity not only to make images of the sunset over one of the most exquisite cityscapes in the world, but also to practice long-exposure blurring techniques to record the light-trails of the boats on the river. We will eat together in a local restaurant, & then perhaps finish the day with a cocktail in the legendary Harry's Bar, home of the Bellini. We will also travel out to the small island of Burn, known for its multi-coloured houses reflected in the still waters of the canals, & we will also photograph the lovely fishermen's huts out in the lagoon. 

Accommodation will be in a small 4* hotel just off St Mark's (Royal San Marco or equivalent) so that everything will be in easy walking distance.
