Safari in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, + The Victoria Falls
Part 1: Botswana 7-15 May with Part 2: extension to Victoria Falls 15-18 May
( Pt 1: 9 days, 8 nights; Pt2: 3 days, 2 nights. 6 spaces max)

Botswana should be top of the list for all wildlife photographers. Renowned for its pristine wilderness this is the premier location for photographing Africa's great animals: lion, cheetah, packs of wild dog, elephant, zebra, antelope, buffalo and wildebeest. And that's not including the birdlife with over 550 species of birds recorded. This safari will concentrate on 4 game reserves in & around the Okavango Delta: Moremi, Khwai, Savuti & Chobe. This will give us a huge variety of habitat & species to photograph. The safari is an 8-night 'mobile' serviced safari, ie we move from day-to-day in the 4x4s whilst the camp staff dismantle and move our tents to a new location & prepare our delicious dinner to be waiting for us when we arrive. In the evenings we will sit around the camp fire, sundowner in hand whilst listening to the soft call of a Scops owl & the low 'huff' of the lions in the distance. Amazing! We will follow up the safari with a 3 day extension to Victoria Falls, just over the border in Zimbabwe. These spectacular falls on the magnificent Zambezi river are the widest in the world. We will have a sunset cruise on the river & a private guided tour of the falls plus a morning game drive in the Zambezi National Park & spend a morning in the hide at the waterhole next to our accommodation location - a unique designer B&B just away from the Falls. Tom is running this trip in conjunction with Kathryn Haylett at YourSafari.co.uk who counts the Okavango Delta as her second home. A superb trip in a magnificent location!
